Abu Dhabi City isn't as big as KL but you can get almost everything here and surpirsingly we like it here despite being really hot in the Summer and in fact still very hot during day time in Autumn but pleasant at night.Haven't experience Winter here yet, won't be as cold as other four season countries but definitely a good break from boiling hot temperature for us living here in the U.A.E so we really can't wait for Winter.
Shopping is really good here as U.A.E is a tax free country.. some things can be really cheap here - I mean REALLY cheap..
Dates are the main attraction for me here during Summer. Date trees are everywhere and you could just pull out on the street to pick some if you like. And which of course I did! Picked some, rinsed them and ate them fresh! Hmmmm yumm. Jasmine and Jack love them too..

Desert Safari, Abu Dhabi
Took the kids for a Desert Safari Tour during Eid Mubarak Holiday( Hari Raya ). It was superb and we highly recommend it to everyone who may visit a 'desert country' like U.A.E :)
We got to experience 4WD dune bashing and I had to ask the driver to stop after about 20minutes and threw up - so typical me, sea sick, air sick and car sick!
Jack and mum went for a short camel ride. We had an Arabic style BBQ, watched a belly dancer performance and Jasmine participated in one of the games for children they organized called music pillow instead of music chairs just because there were no chairs at all!
We also got to experience Shisha - Arabic smoking pipe. Surprisingly it was really smooth!
Jasmine and Jack enjoyed themselves playing with sand dunes.. and at the end of the tour, there was a spectacular fireworks which made everyone 'ooh-ahhh' ooooooohhh and ahhhhhhhhhhh'
